COOKIE POLICY
Last updated: September 13, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how ValScreen LLC ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at https://www.valscreen.com ("Website"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, ValScreen LLC) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies."
How we use cookies
We use only essential and functional cookies necessary to operate our Services. Specifically:
- Authentication cookies that keep you securely logged in to your account
- Functional cookies that remember your preferences, such as display and interface settings
- Creator referral storage that remembers a creator link or code for up to 90 days so a later first paid subscription can be attributed correctly
We do not use cookies for advertising, targeted marketing, or cross-site tracking. We do not display third-party advertisements on our Website. We do not use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics. We do not sell or share cookie data with third parties for advertising purposes.
ValScreen records limited first-party product events on our own backend, such as pages visited, feature use, signup milestones, checkout milestones, and visits through creator referral links, so we can improve the Service and calculate creator commissions. Creator referral information uses a first-party code and does not follow you across unrelated websites. We do not use third-party analytics cookies, advertising identifiers, or cross-site trackers. Our product analytics do not record private notes, report contents, payment-card data, or the text of stock searches.
Third-party service providers
Some essential cookies may be set by the trusted service providers that operate our infrastructure — such as our authentication and hosting providers — solely to deliver core functionality of the Service. These cookies are necessary for the Website to function and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
How can I control cookies?
Because we use only essential and functional cookies, the most direct way to control them is through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Please note that because these cookies are essential to the operation of the Service, disabling them may prevent you from logging in or using core features of the Website.
The means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser. You should visit your browser's help menu for more information. The following is information about how to manage cookies on the most popular browsers:
What about other tracking technologies?
Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We use first-party browser storage to remember interface preferences and an eligible creator referral. An anonymous creator referral expires after up to 90 days. If you sign in before it expires, the referral may be associated with your account until your first paid subscription so we can calculate the creator's commission. We may use other, similar technologies such as web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs") only for essential operational purposes, such as confirming delivery of transactional emails (for example, a password reset email). We do not use web beacons for advertising or cross-site tracking. Limited first-party product analytics are described above.
How often will we update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please therefore revisit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
